GETTING STARTED:
we are not paying a professional tour company to make our arrangements. Our tickets are not subsidizing anyone else's travel, including our leader, who is paying his own way. We will go on pilgrimage together, but we will book our own airfare and ship passage, and coordinate our group experiences through our Message Board.
If you are potentially interested in participating in a pilgrimage, but not yet ready to sign on, send Rick+ a private email about your interest. Include what would be the factors determining whether you choose to go or not.
But if you're ready to sign up for our Early Christianity, May 2008 trip, then take these 5 steps:
1) Subscribe to this Message Board so that you receive an automatic update whenever there is new information, including who is joining us on this pilgrimage.
2) Post a new message here telling us that you would like to come with us on the pilgrimage.
3) Book passage on the May 10 sailing of Carnival's cruise ship Freedom, departing from Rome. Get the best deal you can by using your own travel agent, through an online agency, by calling 1-888.CARNIVAL, or by going to Carnival's website: here.
4) Book your round-trip flight to Rome. Get the best deal you can by using your own travel agent, through an online agency, frequent flyer miles, or other source. Post a message here with your flight information, so that others may try to go on the same flight with you. If you find an especially good source, post that here to alert others. Those who have not booked airfare may try to coordinate their flights with yours.
5) Once you've informed us here that you have booked your flight and passage, we'll send you information about excursion options.
