Temple Isaiah and St Marks have been developing a mutually inspiring and blessed relationship over the past several years, especially by working together for the well-being of others. We are exciting about what we can experience together in this interfaith journey through Israel.
An interfaith tour offers wonderful possibilities for our two congregations, and for our relationship together, that are not possible when we tour only by ourselves. We also recognize that there is potential for unintended misunderstandings or confusion.
To help us all profit from and enjoy our experience together to the utmost -- and to help minimize unintended misunderstandings or confusion, our rabbi and rector will hold sessions in common for all potential participants. These sessions will help orient one another to some of the common links between our two faiths, as well as helping us become more aware of important differences, including language and symbols.
These sessions will be announced later, most likely to be held in the spring of the year we travel. Please be aware that these orientation sessions will not be optional, but will be required for all participants.

Ayelet tours comes very highly recommended to us. They are well-experienced in handling all the details of Israel tours, not only for Jewish congregations, but also for Christian and interfaith groups.
Please view the following 8-minute video, prepared specifically for Jewish congregations. Although an interfaith experience will differ in someways, this video should give you an excellent idea of some of what we will experience on this trip. To view it, click here.
Israel, future date - TBA
More information will be posted here as it develops, when we are ready to begin the sign up process. We will work toward having a good balance of participants from both congregations. If there is space available we may invite friends from outside our two congregations. (But be sure to see the note about orientation sessions, to the left!) There is a maximum number that we can handle comfortably and safely. When we reach that number, we may put you on a waiting list, but we cannot guarantee that everyone may come who wants to.
